EE1010 - Closed Cell EPDM Foam

Permacel

E-Mail this datasheet
FEATURES
  • Conforms well to gaps with rough surfaces as well as to expansion and contraction caused by temperature change
  • When heated or compressed, the foam will not permit any component to be squeezed out
  • Lightweight (specific gravity is 0.095), and the foamed admixtures do not weld each other
  • Compression load at 25%=5oz/sq in; at 50%=11 oz/sq in
  • Available with polypropylene liner as EE1010PL
ADVANTAGES
  • Offers excellent weatherability (ten years equivalent test), high resistance to low and high temperatures
  • High chemical resistance (acids and alkalis)
  • Resists low compression stress - will never deform a structure after application
  • Easy to compress
  • Excellent water tightness can be obtained
  • Easy to store and apply
APPLICATIONS
  • Can be used as a waterproofing, windbreak, dust-proofing, sound damping or thermal insulating material
  • Building and civil engineering works: For sealing joints of exterior panels such as PC plates, ALC plates or slate plates
  • For sealing joints around sashes and of steel water grooves, and at road or bridge construction sites
  • Electrical appliances: For packing and sealing refrigerators, washers, air conditioners, etc.
  • Housing and equipment : For packing and sealing
  • Marine vessels, rolling stock, autos: Used for sealing weathership retainers and for filling and sealing all types of joints

GENERAL INFORMATION
EE1010 (EPT Sealer) is a pressure-closed-cell foam joint-filling material used to fill gaps found in a variety of structures i.e. buildings, civil engineering works, rolling stock, housing facilities and all types of equipment. It is manufactured by expanding a mixture of synthetic rubber and EPDM (ethylene propylene diene methylene). According to the degree of compression applied to the foam, EE-1010 can be used as a waterproofing, windbreak, dust-proofing, sound damping or thermal insulating material. Building and civil engineering works: For sealing joints of exterior panels such as PC plates, ALC plates or slate plates. For sealing joints around sashes and of steel water grooves, and at road or bridge construction sites. Electrical appliances: For packing and sealing refrigerators, washers, air conditioners, etc. Housing and equipment : For packing and sealing. Marine vessels, rolling stock, autos: Used for sealing weathership retainers and for filling and sealing all types of joints.

  • The physical properties listed are typical values and are not to be considered as specifications. Our suggestions for use are based on tests we believe to be reliable. However, the purchaser must carry out their own tests to determine the suitability of the product for their internal use. Information is given in good faith, but without warranty.
  • It is essential, as with all pressure-sensitive tapes, that the surface to which the tape is applied be clean, dry and free of grease and oil.
  • Shelf life from date of manufacture is based on the product being stored at 70°F(21°C) / 50% relative humidity out of direct sunlight.
  • Specification compliance is dynamic and should only be used as a general guide. Always confirm that the tape you are interested in currently complies with all specification requirements. Please verify that the product number that you select is available in the proper size and color to meet your specification.
