GENERAL INFORMATION
D/W 493 is a 22 mil, glass cloth/aluminum foil masking tape used in plasma flame spraying. These layers are laminated "double-ply" of silicone rubber & glass cloth & coated with a high temperature silicone adhesive. It is used when a single ply tape will not provide sufficient protection. The double ply construction eliminates the need for two hand layup operations, thus saving labor cost.
