GENERAL INFORMATION

3M masking tape 2693 is a 8.5 mil, mini-crepe paper masking tape suitable for most paint masking applications. A smooth, heavy duty tape designed for automotive, truck and bus applications where very aggressive holding is required at room temperature and high temperatures. It has excellent performance with high solid paints and urethane clear coaters used in the transportation industry. The holding power of this tape resists the most stringent applications and bake cycles. It can be removed warm or cold from most surfaces with no adhesive transfer. 2693 masking tape is recommended for all critical color separation paint masking operations. It has best-in-class holding power for critical paint lines and clean removal on high valued products or processes.
