E-Mail this datasheet
FEATURES
Pressure-sensitive adhesive
Heavy Scotchpar™ backing
Balanced adhesive
Smooth adhesive
Glass filament reinforcement
Less flexible tape
Abrasion and moisture resistant
Printable by the print seal process
High shear strength
Good initial adhesion
Generally stain resistant
Minimum odor
Stain resistant to most synthetic enamel and lacquer finishes
Nearly complete contact with application surface
High tensile strength and impact resistance coupled with low stretch under stress
ADVANTAGES
Easy to dispense and handle when used with 3M dispensers
Excellent protection of filaments and adhesive to allow use of less tape
Provides advertising and warning capability when printed
Good holding under stress with a minimum amount of tape and application effort, yet allow easy removal without excessive adhesive residue, or stain
Allows tape to be used on or in appliances during storage and shipping
Doors and other movable parts are held securely in place to guard against damage
APPLICATIONS
Hand held manual dispensers, stationary definite-length dispensers, and an automatic L-Clip applicator is available
Application of tape is most easily accomplished at room temperature
Lower temperatures, approaching 32°F, the adhesive becomes firm
Once applied, tape performs well throughout the normal temperature ranges encountered by packaged products in shipping and storage environments

GENERAL INFORMATION
A 7.0 mil. high performance transparent tape reinforced with continuous high strength glass filaments. The tape is designed to hold appliance parts together during manufacture and shipping. The heavy Scotchpar™ film backing provides greater stiffness and excellent abrasion, moisture, and scuff resistance. The pressure sensitive adhesive is specifically formulated to provide high adhesion, clean removal, and stain resistance on most finishes.

The physical properties listed are typical values and are not to be considered as specifications. Our suggestions for use are based on tests we believe to be reliable. However, the purchaser must carry out their own tests to determine the suitability of the product for their internal use. Information is given in good faith, but without warranty.
It is essential, as with all pressure-sensitive tapes, that the surface to which the tape is applied be clean, dry and free of grease and oil.
Shelf life from date of manufacture is based on the product being stored at 70°F(21°C) / 50% relative humidity out of direct sunlight.
Specification compliance is dynamic and should only be used as a general guide. Always confirm that the tape you are interested in currently complies with all specification requirements. Please verify that the product number that you select is available in the proper size and color to meet your specification.
