GENERAL INFORMATION
3M masking tape 214 is a 6.7 mil, smooth crepe paper treated with a high heat and stain resistant saturant with a firm rubber adhesive designed to give outstanding holding power for a high heat resistant tape. It is a high-temperature paper masking tape good for one hour at 350°F on most surfaces. The adhesive is sulfur-free which makes it one of the few tapes that can be used on copper, silver and other precious metals. 214 should not be subjected to outdoor exposure or prolonged periods of sunlight.
